$500K Scholarship for Tech-Savvy Youths.

In a groundbreaking collaboration with ALX Africa, a trailblazer in innovative tech skills development for young African talent, the Foundation will provide scholarships totaling half a million dollars. This initiative aims to empower 40 outstanding young individuals with access to cutting-edge technology education and career-ready training.

For the past six years, the Patoranking Foundation has remained steadfast in its dedication to cultivating a brighter future for Africa’s youth. Through its commitment to research and advocacy, the Foundation has facilitated promising young leaders’ attendance at top educational institutions under its Sky Level Initiative, irrespective of their financial status or background.

Talented youth

General Manager for ALX South Africa, Divesh Sooka, says “South Africa is brimming with young, talented youths who are eager to harness the power of technology to transform their careers, their communities and the broader continent.”

“This partnership and the scholarship opportunities on offer will not only provide these young minds with the cutting-edge skills they need but will also foster a spirit of innovation and resilience that will help to address country’s significant youth unemployment rate and our digital future.” he adds

Youth empowerment

The Foundation aims to make a positive impact on the lives of one million African youths in the next ten years by providing them with the essential tools and opportunities to thrive, thereby contributing to Africa’s sustainable development. Through its focused endeavors, the Foundation aspires to generate a ripple effect of change, empowering the youth to shape their own futures and drive progress within their communities.

Having triumphed over financial adversity, Patoranking leverages his influence to nurture entrepreneurial spirits ready to bring transformative change. “Exceptional leaders and change-makers can emerge from any corner of our continent,” says Patoranking, the visionary artist and philanthropist behind the initiative. “Financial constraints should never be an obstacle for the next great African disruptor.”

4IR opportunities

“Today’s youth need to be ready for uncertainty; they must be agile and adaptable. Our focus at ALX is built on the belief in the importance of reimagining and redesigning skills training to meet the challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution- 4IR. It’s critical that learnings models are geared towards developing tech leaders and innovators with the most in-demand hard and soft skills to solve real-world problems of the future.” says Sooka

The Foundation presently collaborates with five schools in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, Patoranking’s place of origin, providing support to over 170 young individuals in primary and secondary education. Additionally, in 2020, it partnered with the African Leadership University to sponsor ten promising young leaders from across Africa to pursue studies at the University.

This collaboration with ALX Africa signifies a new phase in the Foundation’s mission. The initiative targets 40 resilient, ambitious, innovative, and mission-driven students over the next year, individuals who have already made a significant impact within their communities. These students will have the chance to enroll in a diverse range of transformative technology programs, covering coding, development, data analysis, and Salesforce Administration, thus equipping them with the skills necessary to excel in the digital age.

Theory and practicals

Beyond the confines of traditional learning environments, top-performing students will have the opportunity to engage in internships with leading tech partners of the Foundation. This practical experience aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing scholars to become the next generation of tech pioneers.

The Patoranking Foundation and ALX Africa extend invitations to all eligible and aspiring tech enthusiasts to apply for this unique scholarship opportunity. Together, we can nurture a cohort of tech leaders who will spearhead South Africa and the continent’s digital revolution..
