Most Marketable KMTC Certificate Courses


Most students finish their form four exams and do not qualify for degree or diploma level courses into universities or even training colleges. But it is not something to worry about, for the ministry of education in Kenya has provided certificate courses to enable students with a mean grade of C- to be able to progress with their studies to pursue certificate courses that will help them to advance in their career ladder.

The Certificate courses are usually offered at training institutions and colleges for a period of 2 and half years after which the trainee is also able to progress to a diploma and later on degree level.

The Kenya Medical Training College offers marketable Certificate courses to learners with a mean grade of C- and D+ at various counties. Intakes are offered annually in the months of January, May and September.

The following are the best marketable certificate courses to apply for at KMTC

Environmental Health Sciences, with this you have to have a mean grade of C- in English and Biology, D+ in Mathematics or Physics. The course is offered at KMTC branches in Kabarnet, Embu and other places.

Health promotion for the deaf: requires a mean grade of D+ and it takes a period of 2 years.

Nutrition and Dietetics where you get to learn on what the body needs in terms of intake and how different foods respond to particular diseases. This requires a mean grade of C- and D+.

Other Certificate courses include Community health nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Nutrition, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine among others.
