Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) is an umbrella body for private education institutions and duly registered by the registrar of societies according to the law.
Membership to KPSA is open to all proprietors of private schools i.e Pre- Primary, Primary, Secondary, and the Private Teacher Training institutions (Low cost, Medium Cost, and High cost), duly registered, and pursuing a curriculum approved by the Government.
The Association has representative branches in all the 47 counties and represents the interests of private schools in all the County Education Boards (CEB) in Kenya.

- Membership Fee
- Membership Amount Of Ksh. 10000 Paid Once
- Annual Subscription Of Ksh.7500 Paid Yearly
Benefits of a Kenya Private Schools Association Member
KPSA has been able to;
- Positively influence the national curriculum reform agenda to the benefit of private schools and the country at large.
- Lobby successfully for the inclusion of private primary schools in the new Curriculum teacher training.
- Lobby successfully for the implementation of the waiver of KCPE and KCSE levies for Kenyan citizen in private schools.
- Lobby successfully for continued implementation of fair form one selection guidelines for children in private schools.
- Engage government successfully on developing a framework of facilitating private schools with a revolving fund for expanding, access to education especially for secondary schools.
- Lobby successfully for the development of NEMIS by government to manage movement of students and staff from one school to another.
- Increase collaboration with county government for the benefits of private schools especially on levies to private schools.
- Partnership with KEMI on management, leadership and schools development for head teachers senior teachers and directors. An MOU signed in July, 2018.
- Partnership with CEMASTEA on training of teachers in mathematics and sciences through partnership and collaboration with KPSA.
- Support for training of teachers on competency based curriculum with the support of partners that reached over 4,000 private schools and still on going.
- Established a close relationship with the MOE on various issues touching on Education.
- Inclusion of KPSA in KCPE and KCSE monitoring.
- The inclusion of KPSA in the government led PRIEDE program though implementation has been delayed by the re organization of MoE.
